TRAMPERS' CARS TARGET FOR KETETAHI THIEVES

Trampers' cars are the target of thieves more and more, and the Ketetahi carpark is one of the worst places for it in the Tongariro National Park. Recently, Wanganui Tramping Club members found their rented vehicle broken into after spending the weekend tramping in the Tongariro central crater area. They lost cash and clothing to the thieves, but the car was not damaged.
