The Waimarino Golf Club's games on Sunday, September 4 were for the Shakespeare Memorial Trophy. the day's sponsors were Cedar Court Motel and Collections. The winner was Fred Bright with 69 nett. The Roarers Mug and the Trophy of the sponsors went to him. Junior runners up were: G. Sutherland and T. Frederick Jnr 70 nett. Senior winner was J. Ennis 70 nett with the

sponsors trophy, next D. Berridge 72, N . Cranston 73, S. Margee 74. Twos were scored by N. Cranston on No 9. Results of play from Sunday, September 1 1 . The main event was for the Cascade Cup and was played by teams of eight from the Waimarino, Taihape and Ruapehu clubs. W aimarino won and retained the Cup wtih 645.5, next was Taihape with 674.5, then Ruapehu 683.

In the day's haggle the winner was M. J. Kennedy with 63 nett. He took the Sponsors' Trophy and Roarers' Mug. Next was D. Hamilton of Taihape 71 nett, R. Pearson 72, T. Geraghty and B . Drinkwater with 73. Juniors T. Donghi 70 nett with the Sponsor's Trophy, N. Clark and J. Hammond 72 nett, A. Robinson and D. Herewini 73 nett. Twos were scored by N. Clarke, B. Vine, A. Healy and P. Road.
