District Councillor Bruce Thompson told the Works and Reserves committee that he had not heard from New Zealand Railways about cleaning up the Ohakune Junction Railway Station "While I was assured there would be some action I haven't heard from them," said Cr Thompson. Before Queens Birthday weekend Cr Thompson approached NZR asking them to tidy up the railway station platform because of the number of visitors that would be arriving each weekend on the Kiwi Lager Ski Express.
