ELECTRIC CELEBRATION

New Zealand Railways is celebrating the electrification of its main trunk line this Friday and all who are interested are invited to attend. A special train is travelling from Wellington to Auckland on Friday, stopping at stations along the way for Railways officials to make speeches. The train will be at the Ohakune Junction station at 1.38, to be met by the Deputy Mayor of the Waimarino District Council Bruce Thompson.
