COUNCIL MAN THANKED

Ex Ohakune Borough Foreman John Anderson was presented with a gift in appreciation for his work for the town. Mr Anderson has resigned from the council staff to start his own business. Deputy Mayor Bruce Thompson made the presentation at the last full council meeting May ,30. He said the town would be sorry to lose him. Mr Anderson had attended emergency call outs "at any time" to fix water supply breaks, and that such calls were always "no trouble", said Mr Thompson.
