NO LOCAL TRAIN TRIPS

There will be no short excursion train trips this weekend during the Queen's Birthday Weekedn Festival. As part of the carnival the Kiwi Lager Express train was to have run short excursions north to the Hapuawhenua Viaduct and south to Waiouru. Ski Express organiser Mr Don Fletcher said yesterday the trips would not be possible this weekend because of logistical problems but that the trips would be run during the winter.
