DEPOT TENDERS CALLED

Tenders are being called for the building of an office and staff facilities extension to the King Country Electric Power Board's new depot in Ohakune. Power Board General Manager Nevil Sanders said last week the architect's drawings and tender documents are now complete. The new depot is the workshop in Old Station Road which was purchased from Hurlstone Earthmovers last year. Mr Sanders said the board expected tenders to be in within one month and the completion date would be negotiated with the successful tenderers. He said he hoped the extensions would be completed within three months. The Board has not decided what it will do with the old Ohakune depot in Mangawhero Terrace, said Mr Sanders.
