Ohakune-Karioi Under 19s beat Kaierau at Ohakune on Saturday 23 April 19 nil. There was a good steady start by the Ohakune forwards, but the backs did not the backs did not settle down until the second half, when good tries were scored by opening up the play. Tackling in the game was disappointing.
Another 19 nil game from Ohakune Karioi was played against Taihape Pirates last Saturday at Taihape. Ohakune Karioi faced stern opposition from Pirates but were still in the lead by 16 nil at half time. The backs threw away tries by poor, slow passing. They should have won by 40 nil.
