Results May 1 1988 Sunday's sponsor was Bank of New Zealand, Ohakune. the competition was for the Rangiawaea Trophy, a four ball best ball par round. This was drawn by P. Goldfinch and E. Rush against P. Price and N. Cranston 12 up. The individual play was also par and won in the Junior section by Andrew Donald 8 up, E. Rush 5 up, H. Geraghty and T. Donghi 3 up. In the senior division K. summerhays, P. Goldfinch, M.J. Kennedy, S. Magee tied 2 up. Two's were won by P.
Price and N. Cranston and the Junior Bird's Nest won by Bruce Cranston. On May 21 and 22 the club will be holding their annual 72-hole tournament.
