FLOOD DONATION LAST COUNCIL DECISION
Waimarino County Council's last decision at its last meeting was to move in favour of sending a $500 donation to the East Coast flood victim's relief fund. At the meeting Wednesday March 30, two days before the county became part of the new Waimarino District Council, Chairman Con Heinold said he had omitted to bring it up at their previous meeting. He said it was a good thing that their last action was to make a donation to such a worthy cause.
