GISBORNE FLOOD RELIEF

At the last Ohakune Borough Council meetmg held Thursday March 17 Mayor Bill Taylor moved for a $500 donation to be sent to the flood relief fund for Gisborne, East Coast Wairoa. After seconding the motion Councillor Sue said it was unfortunate that the Borough could not offer more. Relief newspaper Waimarino people who wish to contribute to the relief of flood victims can do so by buying a copy of a newspaper featuring the floods, put out by The Gisborne Herald. The Bulletin has copies available for a minimum donation of $1 with all proceeds going to the Mayoral Fund.
