Pensioner flats planned
If enough pensioners are interested, the Borough will build six own-your-own units on land situated in Queen St for those people not wanting to live in pensioner flats. Councillor Tom Punch said it will give pensioners the opportunity to have their own home, in an area close to amenities, with the added advantage of not having to worxy about maintenance and groundkeeping. "We can make the land available, have it serviced and determine how best we can work the leasing of the land on advice of the town planner," he saic|.
