Waiouru Bowls

The response to the meeting held on Tuesday 28 April at the Community Centre to discuss the formation of a bowling club was very poor. Only eight people attended, with apologies from a further four. Discussion at this meeting centred on forming an indoor club only as it was felt that it was the wrong time of the year to be considering the establishment of a bowling green and therefore an outdoor club. Those present considered that the poor attendance at the meeting was probably due to the lack of adequate

publicity and the Easter break. It was dedded therefore to hold a couple of "roll-up" evenings in an endeavour to encourage attendance. The details of the roll-up evenings will be properly publicised and subject to sufficient numbers attending, a club may be formed. Anyone interested, but not aware of the previous meeting, is welcome to attend ihe "roll-ups" to be held at the John Boscoe Hall on 27 May and 3 June at 7pm.
