Riding Club tests
To the relief of nine Waimarino Riding Club members, Saturday 2 May dawned fine and the grade tests were examined as planned. Mr Michael Green of Hastings travelled to Ohakune and was very complimentary about the riding ability of the whole group, who had a 100% pass rate. Passes were awarded as follows: Grade 1, Roselleen Morris, Jane Woodhouse; Grade II, Joy Pointon;
Grade I and II, Glenda Boyle, Eileen Clarke, Heather Cooper, Helene Godfrey, Christine Reynplds and Jane Zweibruck. There is a lot of hard work ahead for those wishing to progress to Grade III. This test is held once a year at a central location in each island depending on the area from which applications are received. April this year they were held in Auckland and next year Taupo is a possibility.
