St. Patrick's joke

This being St. Patrick's Day it might be appropriate to remind Bulletin readers of one of Ireland's oldest jokes. It seems that, at some time in the history of Ireland, the Scots invaded the Emerald Isle. The invaders demanded some token of their victory to take back to Scotland. The Irish found a pig's bladder and a cow's udder to which they attached various wind instruments. These they presented to the Scottish invaders who proudly took them home and called them bagpipes. It appears the Scots haven't seen the joke since!
