SOCCER
Two Waimarino United soccer teams are to compete in the annual five-a-side tournament at Waiouru on 23 March. This will be ideal preparation for the Tongariro League starting on 6 April. Waimarino United have done well in this league fin-
ishing second in 1984 and 4th last season. The club is keen to enlist new members this year and with a strong committee this should not prove an onerous task. At the AGM at the club last week long time stalwart, Raetihi -businessman Tony Mosaed, was awarded life membership. Mr Mosaed presented the club with its jerseys some years ago and has continued to help out both on and.off the field. Other officers elected for 1986 were: Patron, Snow Brannigan; President, Rod Gill; Secretary/Treasurer, Neil Fredricksen; Manager, Tom Ball; CoachAssistant Manager, Jamie Dennison; Committee, Dave Archibald, James Waera, Andre Del a Mare.
