Waimarino softballers in Auckland and Wellington

Although not outstanding in performance, the Ruapehu College Old Boys Softball team certainly enjoyed mingling with the world's top players at the Pan Am Mens' National softball series. The team finished 13th out of 1 7 teams. winning one game in the series. Winners were Totara Park from Hutt Vallev. The series was held at Rosedale Park. Albany. ir Auckland, from 25 February to 2 March. The RCOB team wined. dined and lazed in the sun. and occasionally slept at the luxurious Poenamo Motoi Inn on Auckland's North Shore. The team also managed to see Dire Straits in concert on Saturday 1 March. RCOB ladies team competed in the Pam Am Ladies series in Wellington last week and a report on their games will appear in next week's Bulhtin.
