Instalment rates to start

The Waimarino County Council at its meeting last week decided to go ahead with its planned introduction of instalment rating as there have been no objections. Rates may be paid in two instalments, due in January and July of each financial year. Cr Heinold suggested that it should be stated that a 5 per cent rebate would bev available for those who pay rates in full at the time of the first instalment in January. As the amount of rebate offered is set by legislation it was resolved to state that the standard rebate would be offered.
