Deck section poured at Hapuawhenua

a major step forward in the construction of the new Hapuawhenua Viaduct came last week when the first section of deck was poured. Ninety cubic metres of concrete was poured in five sweltering hours to complete the 22-metre stretch. Travelling false-work, huge girders which support the deck structure, will be moved out to begin the next section.
