PIGS
The Waimarino Pig Hunting Club staged its annual hunt over Labour Weekend, the third for the three-year-old club. In past years the weathei has proved to be a major
hindrance and kept many spectators away, as hail, rain and snow accompanied the pigs. This year however there was a beautiful day of sunshine, despite the inclement weather of Saturday and Sunday. Entries were received from Te Kuiti, Wanganui, Taumarunui and Palmerston North, as well as 32 from the local area. There was a poor response from the children's hunt, which was a free entry competition.
