RELAY

The annual Round the Mountain relay is coming up on Saturday 16 November for its ninth consecutive year. About 65 teams are expected representing army, navy, air force, police and some businesses in the region. This year there will be four grades: Ladies, Men's Open, Veteran, and Composite — men's team including two women and / or two veterans. Each member of each 1 0person team will run 10 miles, to make up the 100mile race. The start will be for early birds: Ladies begin at 3.00am, and the rest at 5.00am. The first finishers are expected at about 5.00pm and the race will fin-

ish at 8.00pm if any team is still running. The relay begins at Headquarters Army Training Group and finishes at Burns Pool. There will be a prizegiving function that night with dinner and a band.
