Still seriously ill

James Clifford of Raetihi was still in Wanganui Base Hospital's intensive care unit yesterday, where he has been since being involved in a road accident on Sunday 16th June. Mr Clifford 's condition was said to be "satisfactory." The accident occurred when Mr Clifford was driving along the Whangaehu Valley Road at Mangamahu, near Field 's Track at 10.45-1 1pm on 16th June. His vehicle left the road and plunged down a sixty metre bank. Mr Clifford is a partner with Mr Alan Brown in Raetihi furniture making company Makers Ltd.
