Large crowd at charity golf match
Nearly one hundred rugby and golf enthusiasts took part in a Charity Golf Tournament at the Ruapehu Country Club in Waiouru last Sunday. Prizes and trophies were donated by local business people in aid of the Ohakune-Karioi Rugby Club building fund. A $100 note was raffled during the day and the winner was Mr Des Evans of Ohakune. Mrs Heather Harding of Taihape won a rugby ball which was signed by the 1983 British Lions and All Black teams. Results of the tournament, including players stableford points, were: Men Golfers C.
