Racing with BULLY

This week we have the third and final day of the Wellington Racing Club meeting at Trentham, so remember punters that form over the two earlier days is worth following especially if the track is similar. " With the rain we are having at present (just four days before the first day) it looks as though T rentham is going to be at its heaviest. Greek Meer is one that likes

these conditions along with Walksfar and Manehu so watch their early form. Curiosity and Do So are two sprinters who will revel in these conditions too. Matamata races this Saturday and now that the tracks are so wet we could see some form reversals as the mudders come into their own. Locals working well include Zephre Souba and Timberland while I don't think Troubled Water is finished with yet either. Our Waikato spy has been in Australia recently and was impressed with Cozi Kid and Mr Hutch in their hurdle wins in Melbourne. He tells me that Monopoly and Red Sekao from Te Awamutu and Wadsworth from Te Rapa have just about got the winning polish on so watch for their next start. In what is without doubt the most exciting contest in

the jockey's premiership for many a day, David Walsh has now taken over from Gary Phillips and now leads by 100 to 96. David Peake is third on 75 but it is worth remembering that Peake was 34 behind the leaders a couple of months ago and in the middle of a very bad patch. We all knew he could not have so much bad luck for too long and he is now back to the top of his form. The trainers premiership is a little more clear cut with Graeme Rogerson on 6 1 and Dave O'Sullican on 55. Remember Bully tips them first ... and here is one for the last day at Trentham ... Melbeck. This fellow is good. Once again you read it in the Bulletin. (Bully will be away next week but we have a mystery 'ghost'writer lined up at the start for you.)
