MENS GOLF

Course conditions on Sunday 8 April were extremely good and the weather was fine for a Stableford competition. Best scores were by: Senior G. Allerby and K. Tapp 37 points, R. Pearson and R. Southee 35 points. Junior B. Goile 40, C. Allerby and G. Ennis 37. Two's by F. Gatley and B. Goile. The following weekend on the Saturday, another Stableford competition was held with good scoring from a small field once

again in perfect condtions. D. Windle led the field with 41 points, J. Ennis 38 and R. southee 37. N. Black and K. Tapp scored two's. On Sunday 15 April, the ' Waimarino Golf Club pennant team played at Rangatira scoring a good win over Pearce Park by 1XA to 4l/2. The team is now in third position behind Feilding and Palmerston North with two rounds completed. On the home course, the Webb trophy competition got under way with G. Imhoff leading the Juniors with a nett 67 foliowed by F. Brandl 70, C.

Allerby and R. Wise 72. The seniors were led by D. Herewini and T. Geraghty 68. Two's on nominated holes by C. Turner arid T. Geraghty. The draw has now been done for the Anderson cup and these games should be completed by the specified dates.
