Racing with BULLY

Troubled Water had a bad race at Tauranga but it appears she was coming into season so she can be excused this time. If she steps out at Ellerslie stay with her. Our man in the Waikato tells me she is very good. Abit Leica had his chance but did not go on with the job in the big race at Tauranga. Claimed in some racing circles to be a champion, I think perhaps he needs a bit of a freshener. He could then perhaps come back to the form he showed a while back, for I am sure he has great potential. Avondale holds the spotlight in the Northern area again this week and I believe this meeting is to be televised. Punters have had a fairly good run recently with live TV and it is to be hoped that the powers that be will see fit to carry on with it. The standard of racing is of a high class at present and I have spoken to some people who are not racing supporters as normal

but who have derived quite some interest Out of the TV presentation. At Avondale several to watch would include Alloy and Jimbil from Cambridge, while Vivacious and Unique Wonder continue to impress at Takanini. Local horses to be working well at Avondale are Turanganui and Pennycae. It is worth remembering that horses trained on the course here often do well. Our man in the Waikato reports that there are several to keep an eye on over the next few weeks, and these are Monopoly, Connells Bay, Rosman,

Wadsworth and Madam Fox. Woodville is also a good course for locally trained entries and good races can be expected from Illa Marie, Bridgeplayer, Fidji and Cuspidor. The Feilding trained Star Lear is also due for a winning turn. The jockey's premiership is still holding top interest and after last Saturday the order was Cassidy, Walsh, Phillips and Lyndon. Before we go this week, hiere is a Ladies special for Woodville ... Watch Me. Remember Bully tips them first and you have read it in the Bulletin.
