Warwick Goile continued his fine pre-season form in taking out the Men's First Division title at the Waimarino Squash Club's Internal Tournament held on Saturday 14 April. Against newcomer from Auckland, Rod Gill, a former C Grader, Warwick showed that a
move from his current D1 Grade is imminent. Phil Jackson, a former E Grade player from Wellington took out the Men's Second Division title in comprehensive fashion against David Seifert. The Women's Round Robin was won by Noeline Pikari. Results W. Goile beat R. Gill 9/ 1, 10/8, 9/2. P. Jackson beat D. Seifert 7/9, 9/3, 9/0, 9/2. Junior Novice V. Pearce beat M. Mowat 3/9, 9/2, 9/4, 9/3, Round Robin-Novice: 1st J. Dennison, 2nd S. Richardson.
