Pony Club News
The Waimarino Pony Club held a dressage day on Sunday 26 February, the day after the Karioi Sports. The weather stayed fine and the turnout was good. Twenty-. eight riders took part in four classes. This year was the first time an open class has been held, and the interest shown was very pleasing. We are hoping that this class will attract an increasing number
of riders next year. The results for the four classes were as follows: Junior: Maria Fredericksen/ Jimmy Carter 1st, Jacqui Cormack/Andy 2nd, Nathan Ewart/ Andy 3rd. Intermediate: Heather Cooper/ Gypsy 1 st, Anita Ewart/ Casper 2nd. Patrick Cooper/ GentlemanJim and, Louise Swarbrick/ Montana 3rd equal. Senior: Helen McCready/Troy 1st, Helen McCready/California Gal 2nd. Open: Evelyn Cooper/ Gentleman Jim and Cheryl Mateara/ Pink Ch&mpagne 1st equal, Rachel Mason/ Aziz 3rd.
