Racing with BULLY

It was good to see Red Tempo back to solid form at Caufield with a good win in the Futurity Stakes. After splendid early form in New Zealand Bevin and Graham Allen took their Mussorgsky Poco Tempo colt to Australia but. unfortunately Red Tempo contracted a virus that severely affected him. Now under the training of Colin Hayes all seems well again and we wish all the connections a happy and successful season. Good also to see Fountaincourt back in the winner's circle with an impressive win in the Avondale Classic of 2200 metres. His co-trainer, Dianne Pfefferle has been quartered at Takanini recently and it certainly has allowed Fountaincourt to become more settled. Nice also to see Jurango win well in the second leg. Our Waikato spy was right on the ball there. Next Saturday there is racing at Woodville again and several horses trained in the area could show up here. A local from Bruce Marsh's

stable in Jean Darling and from Scott Hammersley's establishment Latin Affair, are both looking in fine fettle. Fidji is another to stay on side with. From Awapuni horses to catch the eye include Bidston Hill, Grande Fripon and Wellson. Workingextra well at Feilding and expected to win a race very shortly is Lord Trappeur so stay with this fellow. Paeroa is the northern meeting this week and our man in the Waikato has rung in to say Romadios, a recent winner at Gisborne will win again

soon while Tulia is overdue for a win. Bravington could surprise any day now. The jockey's premiership is still anybody's guess and at present David Walsh has ju.st got his nose in front. There are some heavy wagers in the area with bets being evenly distributed between Walsh, Cassidy, Timms, Lyndon, Phillips and even Peake is creeping back into calculations. My selection for this one — Walsh. Remember Bully tips them first and you will find it in the Bulletin.
