DOGS

The Waimarino County Council has raised it's dog registration fees by $1 to $26 to cover estimated increases in fuei costs and dosing chemicals in the 1984-85 financial year. The new fees are estimated to bring in an additional $3000 over last year's costs of $34,218 for registering and dosing the county's 1450 dogs. The new fee comprises $25.75 for hydatids dosing and 25 cents for a plastic identity tag. The costs of dog collars, previously $1, have also increased to between $2 and $4.50.
