Preparations for ski season begins

Mountain Final tidy up on Jumbo T-Bar following major installation work. Sheave assemblies (support for the cable) taken to Auckland for galvanising (for protection against weather) and finetuning of the lift for '84 season. The Giant chairlift and Parklane chairlift motors are being checked and overhauled to ensure trou-ble-free running in addition to annual maintenance checks on the total lift system.

Work under way on the installation of an additional 570 metres of snow fencing to ensure an optimum cover of snow around lift facilities and trails. Promotion Turoa's saies manager Andy Chapman, who was appointed -last year, is attending his first Brisbane Snow Show from 8-10 March. He is also visiting local travel agents and tourist offices during his week-long stay in Queensland's capital.
