Raetihi CWI Report

The October meeting of the Raetihi C.W.I. was held in the Centennial meeting room with Mrs M.E. * Sommerville as Fresident.

Motto for the month was "Just knowing that a friend's nearby can help to keep your spirits high." Sixteen scarves and nine necklaces were bought for the Social worker at Lake Alice Hospital. It was reported that 36 books had been taken to Hirurangi. The Roll Call was "Hints for the sick room." Mrs Sommerville read an article "From billies to bottles" which traced the development of milk delivery in the district. Mrs E. Bowater displayed some prize-winning bulbs and described how to grow them successfully. Mesdames E. Grossart and O. Bryers were hostesses.
