Chain letter... "sick joke"
A chain-letter ruined the day for an Ohakune woman last week. The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, was so upset and annoyed at receiving the letter that she brought it into the Bulletin. She wanted the person who sent the letter to know that it wasn't appreciated. The letter was posted in Ohakune and must have been from someone who knows her, she said. "My name and address
aren't in the phone book, so it must have been someone who knows me". The letter starts with a religious saying and goes on to say that if the chain is n^ continued then the receive^ will suffer a misfortune. "This sort of thing would really upset old people and children. It's a sick joke," she said. The letter is now sitting at the bottom of the trash can . where it belongs.
