With inter-club in full swing the ladies F grade are managing to keep in front with a 3-2 win over Turangi. Wins to C. Hawira, K. Rihia and M. McLean. Losses to K. Siddells and L. Henare. Ladies 'Composite' team also had a win with wins to A. Irwin, L. Todd, N. Parata and J. Crowley. Unlucky was N. Pikari who had a 5 setter with her old rival M. Hodge of Taumarunui. The mens F team had a hard time in their last game with B. Johns the only one winning his game, R. Bennett had an accident and had to default. The mens E grade lost, with wins to S. Arahanga, and T. Todd. Losses to M. McGrath who filled in, R. Berridge and C. Munro who had a 5 setter. The mens D team (which included one lady player) had their first win of the season against Levin 2 with wins to T. Martin, W. Goile, K. Martin and the lady player, Tui Berridge. J. Laurenson lost in a 5 setter. They should have against Palmerston N(fll when one player was up with match point, then lost 8-10 no names mentioned! The Club Championships are being played in August and members are asked to put their names down on the club's notice board as soon as possible.
