Saturday 23 July Better weather resulted in improved scoring overall. Best in a stableford competition were I. Godfrey and T. Tapp 38, R. Pearson, S. Magee and R. Southee all 37. Two's were scored by G. Allerby and C. Turner. Sunday 24th Good scoring again in ajm t competition. Senior: G. Allerby and Southee 3 up. G. Kerins 2 up. Two's S. Swarbrick, G. Allerby, G. Kerins and P. Goldfinch all on No.9. Junior: R. Wise 6 up. I. Strachan and P. Goldfinch 3 up. L. Sommerville 1 up. In a junior singles match played over the - weekend on the Waimarino course ManawatuWanganui scored a win over Bay of Plenty. On Sunday 7th August, the annual match against Taumaranui for the Manson Cup will be played on the Waimarino course. This is a 27 hole match for both ladies and men. Play will commence at 10am.
