Waimarino Gun Club
The July shoot was held at the Gun Club's range on the Raetihi/Ohakune Road, Sunday July 24th. Shot in extremely cold southerly winds with occasional showers, the conditions provided an additional challenge for the 30 competitors. Results were: 10 bird eye-opener: A grade; 10, E. Sommerville, G. Russell, R. Casey. B grade; 9, A. Connors, 8, T. Taura. C grade; 8, T. Neville. 8 pair double fast maliard: A grade; 14, G. McPhee, 12, P. Casey. B grade; 12, T. Frederick, 7, A. Connors, G. Wise. C grade; 11, T. Neville, 10, S. Ferguson. 15 bird open trophy: 15, P. Casey. 10 bird single barrel club trophy: A grade; 9, G. Russell. B grade; 8, T. Frederick. C grade; 6, T. Neville. 10 sparrows: A grade; 10, G. McPhee. 9, G. Russell, R. Casey. B grade; 9, A. Connors. 8, G. Wise. C grade; 7, S. Ferguson, 5, B. Allerby. 10 pair double rise: A grade; 18, R. Casey, 16, G. McPhee. B grade; 15, T. Frederick, 13, A. Connors. C grade; 10, T. Neville, 7, B. Allerby. 7 bird gym crack possibles: E. Sue, A. Connors, R. Casey. The Ohakune versus Raetihi team shoot was won in great style by the Ohakune team.
