OHAKUNE SCHOOL

Staffing Two new staff have been welcomed to the school: Miss K. Johansen who will teach Room 11, J 1/2 and Mr G. Bidwell, Room 3, Std 3/4. Mr J. Anwyll, Senior Teacher, has returned to duties. Mr Robin Paul has left the staff after service spanning several years. Family reasons have prompted his transfer to Wanganui and he will be much missed. Arriving at School: Too many children are arriving at the school too early in the mornings. No child should be within the grounds until 8.30am and, in these cold and damp mornings, this is really too early. Classroom heating does not warm the rooms until nearly 9 o'clock. Queen's Birthday and Mid-Term Break The school will be closed on Monday June 6, Queen's Birthday. Mid-Term break for this term will be taken on Friday July 8.
