RUAPEHU COLLEGE
Term II began 23rd May and will be a busy one for Ruapehu College. Events begin on Wednesday, June 1st when the Minister of Education, Mr Wellington, will officially open the Senior Studies Block. Also on that day two rugby teams from Hato Paora College, Feilding will be here for their annual fixture. Senior examinations begin for forms 5, 6 and 7 on Thursday 16th June and continue until Wednesday June 22nd. Also scheduled for June is a full visit from Departmental Inspectors from Wellington, as well as a full schedule of winter sports fixtures with local Colleges. The Cancer Society visited the College on Wednesday 25th June, showing films and giving talks to Forms 4, 6 and 7. Thanks to Mokaraka Hokianga who sang in assembly on Friday. This was Mokaraka' s last day at college as the family leaves the district. Thanks to the pupils and staff for their generous donations towards the Hokianga family who recently lost their possessions in a house fire.
