|_FEOli OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] THE MASCOTTE DRAMATIC GRUB. A meeting of those interested in the formation of a Dramatic Club was held in the Kopuru Hall on Tuesday. Mr E. Perkins had passed the word round and in response to his call some fifteen ladies and gentlemen were present. It was decided to form a Club to be called the Mascolte Amateur Dramatic Club, and the following officers were elected :—Acting Manager, Mr W. Bayly ; Stage Manager, Mr E. Perkins; Secretary, Mr H. Leaboum ; Treasurer. Mr Welham ; Committee of Management, Misses Phillips and Hougham, and Mr Davidson with the officers above named. The entrance fee was fixed at 5s for gentlemen and 2s 6d for ladies, with a monthly subscription of Is and 6d for gentlemen and ladies respectively. The first performance will be in aid of the Club for the purpose of renewing the scenic arrangements of the Hall stage. The regular meetings of the Club are to be held on the first Thursday of each month. Mr A. Barclay has now left his position in the Kauri Company’s store here and proceeded to Mangawhare.
