POLO.
WAIRARAPA PLAY FEILDING. LOCAL TEAMS SUCCESSFUL. A polo match was played at TawahS on Saturday between the Wairarapa A team (Messrs D. H. S. Riddiford, captain; R. N. Barton, 11. Hewitt, and H. Martin), and a Feilding team (Messrs E. Short, N. Short, P. Burrell, and R. McKelvie), resulting in the former team willing by 9 goals to 1. For the winners Barton scored four goals, Martin tow, Hewitt two, and Riddiford 1; and for the losers, McKelvie scored the only goal. Mr. Macbean Stewart was the umpire, and Mr. Perry the timekeeper. A match was also played between the Wairarapa B team and the Feilding team (Messrs H. B. Maun sell, W. Howard Booth, F. Hewitt, and D. C. Collins) resulting in the Wairarapa winning by 8 goals to 5. Scorers for the winners were Collins 2, Hewitt 2, Maunsell 3, and. Howard Booth 1; while McKelvie 3, and N. Short 2, scored for the losers.
