HOME SIDE GOES CHEAPLY.
DUNEDIN. March 11.
A match between the Melbourne Cricket Club and Otago was commenced to-day in fine' weather. Otago in the first innings made 127 (Blunt 23, McMullan 26, H. C. Alloo 16, A. W. Alloc? 15, Shepherd. 28). Melbourne had lost one wicket for 84 runs when stumps were drawn (Onyons .27, Ransford 20, Langford 23). Bowling for Melbourne, Ebeling took four for 42 and T. Armstrong three for 26.—(P.A.) Attention is directed to the sale of household furniture and effects, including new oak gramophones and records, to be conducted at Opaki Road, Lansdowne, to-day by Mr. R. S. Gerrand.
