AUTUMN FLOWERS.

MASTERTON SOCIETY’S SHOW. GOOD ENTRIES. A choice array of flowers will be exhibited at the seventeenth autumn show of the Masterton Horticultural Society, to be held to-morrow in the Municipal Hall. Keen competition is expected in the home industries section, as entries are* exceptionally good in this class. Late entries will be received by the secretary, Mr. B. P. Welch, until noon today. Three championship trophies will be competed for—the Society’s Challenge Flower Bowl, for cut flowers (cottagers’ class); the Wilton Challenge Bowl, for most points in the decorative class; and the Poultry Club Cup for most points in vegetables (open class). The lady members of the society will run a produce stall in aid of the society’s funds, and donations of produce will be thankfully received.
