MOTOR SPEEDING.
RACING AT MURIWAI. AUCKLAND, March 6. At the Muriwai beach motor races, the New Zealand motor cup resulted. —R. B. Wilson’s Stutz 1; Hore Bartleet’s Sunbeam 2. Time 36 minutes 36 2-5 seconds. Wilson woif the race last year.
Light car cup. —Hore Bartleet’s Bugatta 1; A. Irving’s Bugatti 2; A. J. Boycroft’s Bugatti 3. The winner, who comes from New South Wales, developed 72 miles an hour. The open sprint handicap was won by the Todd Motor Company’s Chrysler, the open handicap by H. W. Cropp’s Chevrolet, the ladies’ handicap by Mrs. McFarlane in an Ausaldo and the All Comers Handicap by Cropp’s Chevrolet.
The course for the New Zealand motor cup was fifty miles. Great crowds attended the races which were free from accidents. —(PA.)
