FARMER MARKSMEN.

C.A.C. SHIELD COMPETITION. THE PAPA WAI FIXTURE. With Wairarapa holding the C.A.O, Shield, particularly keen interest no doubt will be taken this year in the annual competition between provincial branches of the Farmers’ Union for possession of this trophy. It is notified in an advertisement to-day that the teams representing the Wairarapa Provincial Farmers’ Union will do their competition, firing at Papawai on Saturday, April 9. The ranges a-re 300, 500, and 600 yards, competitors will fire seven shots at each range.
