The Dominion students’ Rugby team defeated the combined Universities at Twickenham by 8 points to 6. Bettington was the only Australian In the team and the New Zealanders were J. 0. Malfroy and K. Saxoh (centre three-quarters) and S. Gilmer (forward). Saxon was the outstanding player, scoring both tries. Gilmer played a great winging game. Bettington was always prominent and converted one try. Malfroy tackled well. The students were somewhat lucky to win. — (A. and N.Z.) INTERNATIONAL SERIES. (Received Sunday, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, February 26. At Dublin, twenty thousand witnessed a match in which Ireland beat Scotland by six to nil. At Swansea twelve thousand saw Wales beat France by 25 to 7.
