With a lightly overcast sky, the Masterton Park and Masterton clubs had pleasant weather and a clear light for their Gawith Shield match on the MastertoTi courts on Saturday. The Park
Club notched only one win, but a number of the games were well contested . -and interesting. Miss Welch beat Miss Finlayson, 9/3; Miss Napier beat Miss Allan, 9/3; Miss Bradley beat Miss Bright, 9/5; Mrs. -Jenkins beat Miss Selby, 9/1; Miss Ray beat Miss Magrath, 9/4; Mrs. Prior beat Mrs. Hatch, 9/3. MEN’S SINGLES. Miller beat Finlayson, 6/0. 6/0; Welch beat Williams, 6/3, 6/3; Hodder beat Grimes, 6/1, 6/2; Martin beat Gardner, '3/6 6/3, 6/4; Wellwood beat Joy, 6/2, 6/2; Rogers beat Allan, 6/3, 6/5. | LADIES’ DOUBLES.
