A DECIMAL COINAGE
COMMISSION'S REPORT.
(By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Australian-N.Z, Cable Association.) Received Last Night, 10 o'clock. LONDON, March 23. The Royal Commission on the advisableness of introducing a decimal coinage has reported against the proposal, declaring that the advantages to be gained in keeping accounts .are no wise commensurate with the loss of the convenience of the.existing . system for other purposes. ,- The report also states that bankers and financial houses in England engaged in finance and overseas trade, consider that no great benefit to the overseas trade could be expetced from the adoption of the decimal system.
