SHOW EXHIBITS
FEED ON TRUCKS
At the monthly meeting of the Wairarapa and East Coast P. and A. Society, held in Carterton on Saturday last, Mr E. Eagle brought up a matter of interest to show exhibitors. He stated that some of the exhibitors at the last Carterton show were forced to pay for feed for their stock in the railway strucks. "I do not see why a man should not be allowed to put a bag of feed in the truck if he so desires," said Mr Eagle. Mr G. E. Allen, the well-known Tipua breeder, stated that although he had attended shows for the past seventeen years he had never experienced any trouble in connection with this matter,« but he knew of others who had done so. Mr. Allen was of the opinion that the attention of the Railway Department should be drawn to the matter. On the motion of Mr E. Eagle, this wsa unanimously decided upon.
