EWE AND LAMB
Speaking in regard to complaints against the Railway Department in connection with the carriage of show stock, Mr G. E. Allen mentioned in Carterton on.Saturday last, that thero was some misapprehension concerning the consignment of ewes and lambs. Personally, he considered lhat the lamb was part of the exhibit, and always consigned it as such, but a number of people consigned them separately. This was a matter that should be satisfactorily cleared up. The railway authorities in some instances mentioned by the speaker, considered that the lambs should be consigned in addition to the ewes.
