Advice from Norfolk Island states that the steamer Knight of the Garter arrived. ! .The vessel called 'a. Easter • Island, and rescued eight of the marooned crew of the American schooner El Dorado, which was abandoned in June last' in a sinking condition. ,

The captain and two of the crew left the island in a lifeboat two months previously, and' have not since been heard of.
